[and while he does wait, he'll continue with his poetry. he has to wonder what exactly it is Kisara is planning on making for dinner, but knowing her, and her culinary talents, Dohalim is sure that whatever she does make will taste divine.
but, he wishes he knew what she was going to make so he could find a suitable wine to pair it with. knowing Kisara, it would probably be a fish based dish, but he didn't want to make that assumption. oh well, he'll just have to wait]
[Honestly, Kisara didn't know what to do with Dohalim when he was like this. Kisara wasn't that familiar with poetry as a whole, but she was very familiar with Dohalim's poetry. Judging by the other's reactions, Kisara got the impression that it wasn't particularly good, but she had no way to judge. Especially when it was directed at her and did things to her mind and body that she couldn't account for, let alone tell him to stop.
So, she endured the embarrassment of overwhelming emotions welling up as Dohalim essentially expressed his love for her in pretty words on her communicator as she bought the needed ingredients for a new dish she wanted to try. No fish this time, but she did give him a hint finally advising that there would be some pork in this and it would be spicy. She knew how he liked to pair their dinners with a suitable wine.
Once she was home, she was still quite pink in the cheeks but she resolutely started dinner nonetheless.]
[Dohalim slips Kisara one more poem before leaving her be to continue her grocery shopping, because of course he would. but aside from that, there were more pressing matters at hand, and that's the wine pairing to go with their dinner. something with pork would require a lighter wine, something white. but, as he glances through his collection of wines and spirits, he picks out a sake instead, having a feeling that it would pair rather nicely with whatever Kisara is planning. he'll ask her opinion on it when she gets home, but for now, he'll leave it on the kitchen table before going back to his poetry writing.
as soon as she walks in, and noticing the flush on her face, Dohalim flashes her a cheeky grin]
[Came the amused snort in return. She slipped off her shoes at the doorway and headed for the kitchen to set the groceries down so she could get started. Kisara saw the wine and picked it up. Sake, hm?]
Rice wine? Are you sure it'll pair well with this?
I fail to see how I'm a brat. I'm offended that you would say that.
[there's a tone of amusement in his voice that betrays his offence, mirrored by the grin still on his face. Dohalim watches Kisara, before standing to help her with the groceries]
Yes, I figured it would be light enough to compliment the meat and spice. Unless you wanted something different? You are the one preparing dinner, after all.
[without even a second thought, Dohalim closes the small gap between them, gently pressing a hand to the small of Kisara's back to pull her in for a soft kiss. Honestly, he's still trying to figure out his feelings for the people he holds closest to his heart, but at least he's more comfortable with acts such as this]
[She was still quite unused to these displays of affections from Dohalim, but they were welcome all the same. She returned the kiss, cheeks flushing lightly.]
[She couldn't help the soft laugh at that. Well, far be it for her to refuse this. She was still blushing as she cleared her throat and began to pull out the fresh ingredients.]
Hm... I guess that would depend, what would you like to do? The recipe calls for cooking the noodles but there's going to be quite bit of veggies in it. Do you want to do that while I get the noodles and broth ready or do you want to cook the noodles?
[humming to himself, he thinks for a moment on what he should do. perhaps something easier so he doesn't mess up the meal somehow. and the broth might take someone with a bit more skill in cooking, so...]
I think I may be more useful to you if I cut the vegetables for you. I would hate to ruin the broth or noodles.
